Will the work be supervised by one responsible person or will it be handled by multiple subcontractors, where you are taking the responsibility as the contractor? When there is a problem are you left having to solve it your self?

What is the company’s policy about service work? Do they get to service work in a timely manner? If you have a leaking pipe do they treated with urgency? Do they perform the service work themselves, or will you be required to work with different outside contractors for a service request?

How many years have they been in business? Many remodeling companies come and go. A warranty with a company that will be gone tomorrow is worth little or nothing.

Do the contractors stand behind the products chosen for your project? Do they offer a warranty? Do they offer quality products to start with…so you don’t need to redo the job in a few years because it’s falling apart?

Does the company offer references and reviews? One of the best ways to tell if a contractor will do a good job for you is if he has a history of doing well for others. Check out the contractor’s online reviews. Some contractors we’ll even set up an appointment with a past client to show off their work.
